The latest edition of the Carnival of Bent Attractions just came out over at Transcending Gender. Although my submission didn’t make the cut, i’m not going to hold it against them. Looks like there is some good stuff. I’ll be reading through it. You may want to consider it.

the gaybos are back
all by myself
Thank you everyone who has sent in congratulatory words regarding the turnout of Blog Against Sexism Day. Surprisingly i haven’t received a single hate mail or comment flame regarding this issue. But i wanted to take a moment and give credit where credit is due. Because in no way did i put this together by myself. So here is my very important list of credits:
Geeky Mom - it was on her blog that i first uttered the idea of a Blog Against Sexism Day. If she hadn’t responded in the positive way that she did, i probably would have pushed it aside.
Sour Duck - who put together an incredible list of “big” and “sorta big” name feminist blogs. We then split the list in half and contacted the bloggers. Who then passed on the word to yall.
Alas, a blog - the first feminist blog i ever stumbled upon. It was this blog that helped me see i wasn’t the only conscious blogger out there. Shortly after, i started blogging on a regular basis.
Bitch | Lab - for reminding me early in the game that there are many different kinds of feminists. And without a sense of humor, i’ll get squashed by them all.
And, of course, everyone who participated and showed your support along the way. There is no way i could have written 300 blog posts against sexism in one day. So, thank you! I look forward to having over 500 participants next year. The next round i want to try and get into my other realm of blogging - web professionals. It’s interesting to think about why i didn’t talk about Blog Against Sexism Day in the CSS or web development forums that i’m a part of. Was i worried that i wouldn’t be taken seriously as a web developer? Hmm. Something to ponder. Think we can get Eric Meyer, Jeffrey Zeldman, 9Rules, and the others to blog against sexism? Here’s to hoping.
