big day down on the ranch

as you can see, i’ve been busy at work redesigning my site.  There are a few things that will change in the coming days, but for the most part, this is it.  Hope you enjoy.  If you liked my old design, you can have it!  I’m cleaning up the code a bit and then releasing it as a free template (of course you have to be using Wordpress; i’ll also be releasing this one soon).

I’ve reorganized by blogroll.  The visible list you see (which will grow a bit in the days to come and change from there on) is the list of blogs that i read on a regular basis.  All the other blogs that i felt were worth mentioning and that i still check out from time to time can be found on the links page.  This allows be to have a more fitting list up front while still being able to promote all the incredible bloggers out there.

Also on the homefront, i became a Large Mammal today in the TTLB Ecosystem.  I don’t know why i care, but i do.  I also broke the 10,000 mark on technnorati.  I’m now ranked something like 8,500 (not bad out of 2,000,000).  I also received my first “hate” mail regarding the Blog Against Sexism Day.  It wasn’t so much hate mail as one guy’s rant about BASD being a “big circle-jerk” and “the stoopest idea ever.”  He called all us participants a bunch of losers.  He then went on to claim his rightful authority on the matter by calling himself a commie libtard.  I think he just liked the idea of a bunch of feminists getting together to masturbate.  I almost responded, but decided to laugh instead.

And just to pimp myself for a moment (we all gotta eat), if anyone is looking for a fresh, new look for you blog or website, let me know.  I give good discounts to people i like.

What about people you don’t like? Do we get charged more? Honestly, I’d really like to have a custom template for my blog, because the free Word Press templates tend to be pretty weak, at least those I’ve been able to find.

Let me know what you can do. I like your template…though I’d like something a little less…colorful.

By the way, down below the submit button here, you’ve got some visible code.

That’s to tell you what kind of HTML tags you can use in the comment box.

just cuz we disagree doesn’t mean i don’t like ya. i’ll send you an email so we can talk. And don’t worry, i save my craziest stuff for my own persynal sites. i don’t think i’ve ever used pink in a site design (or faux-3D; i’ve certainly never used a stencil of kissing cops), so i thouht i’d give it a try. see how it fits. i tend to have design ADD when it comes to persynal sites.

no need to feel silly for not recognizing the easily confused XHTML tags below. i’ll be adding a little explanation as to what they are for.

hey vegan, first of all CONGRATULATIONS about the amazing move up the ranks!!!!! That is wonderful and amazing, and I am SOOOO happy that it happened to YOU. I mean, i am so used to hearing about republican conservative charging up the ranks like that, but not a radical left trans queer vegan!!!!! That’s wonderful and that means that our message is ready to be heard on some level! Not to mention that you just are working like crazy and fucking deserve it.

second, i love the colors, i think they work really well, and most of all, I LOVE LOVE the police men kissing–how the hell did you do that? I have wanted for months to get some pictures on my main bar part, like nubian and fab and you all have, and I don’t have any clue how to–

but anyway, i am so happy for your success, and I am so proud to be blogging along side you!
    congratulations!
