Le Colonel Chabert left a comment here today that was way too good to not turn it into a meme. And since i don’t need any more excuses to procrasinate packing (one more day left), i figured i’d go ahead and start the meme. So here it goes:

Your fantasies:

1. Are you in them? Or do you fantasize about other people without your being present? If you are in them, is it as participant or just spectator? If you are in them, are you truly yourself or different from yourself?
I’m usually in my own fantasies. In fact, sometimes i’m the only one in them. Usually if i am in my fantasy then i am a fully participating member. I am always myself, i think, but sometimes i take on different physical attributes.

2. Do you fantasize another person’s point of view, desires and thoughts?
Normally, no. But i found that in my last relationship as i got to know my partner’s fantasies more intimately, i began to incorporate them into my fantasies. Not necessarily that zi’s fantasies were mine, but that i was carrying out zi’s fantasies in my fantasy. Which i guess sorta makes them my fantasy. Wow, complicated.

3. Is there a narrative, set-up, story? Or just a scene, without history or future?
Both. Depends on the day.

4. Is there a sequence of events, or just images? If there is a temporal sequence, do you proceed neatly chronologically or with analepsis (flashback) and prolepsis (flashforward)?
I’d say its usually a sequence of events that flows chronologically.

5. Is there dialogue? Narration? Do words matter? Do you describe the fantasy to yourself in words as you have it?
Fuck yeah words matter. I like “dirty” talk and i incorporate that into my fantasies.

6. If you were to write down a typical fantasy, how long would the text be?
Well, i have written some down and they can take anywhere from a few pages to twenty.

7. If you are in your fantasies, are you predominantly desired or desiring?
Both but more often desiring, i think.

8. Does atmosphere matter? How much detail - clothes, setting, room temperature?
Atmosphere matters a fair amount. I don’t usually get as detailed as temperature, but clothes, furniture, room, indoor/outdoor, setting, that sort of stuff is definitely accounted for.

9. Is there music in your fantasies?
Not that i can think of.

10. Are there aromas in your fantasies?
The smell of sweaty sex:)
