Looks like I will be hosting the fourth edition of the Carnival of Empty Cages over at Taking Place on October 1st. I’ve decided, again, not to have a theme, so feel free to submit any posts about animal rights and liberation. You can either leave a link to the post in the comments section here, or you can leave a link on the official submission page, or simply email it to me. All i ask is that people really challenge themselves and others. In fact, that’s my theme: Challenging Ourselves and Others.

Sokari at Black Looks is hosting the Fifth Erase Racism Carnival on September 20th. Here’s what she has to say:

This is the first time the Erase Racism carnival has been held on an African blog and I am hoping that at least some of the submissions will come from other African bloggers. You can either submit your own post or one written by someone else. Either way it doesnt have to be a new post.

I believe Tigera is hosting the next Radical Women of Color Carnival (#6?), but I wasn’t able to find the details. The carnival’s founder, brownfemipower, has a reflective post about the carnival as well as some questions about its future up at her place. If anyone has more details about the next edition of the carnival, please leave them in the comments. In the meantime, i’ll keep searching and update when i get them.
