55 Essential Articles for Bloggers

I am a serious sucker for numbered lists (as you may have noticed on this blog). What can i say? I like having things broken down into easily digestible formats. The following resource is another numbered list worth checking out. I checked out several of the articles and they really are essential.

A lot of us bloggers get into blogging for great reasons… share knowledge, create new independent news outlets, we love to write, etc. But just because we love blogging doesn’t mean we are doing so in the most effective manner. The articles listed in this post can help those who are serious about blogging to create a blog that is read by even more people (with more comments and probably even more ad revenue… if you’re into that sorta thing).

The post, titled 55 Essential Articles Every Serious Blogger Should Read, is broken down into seven categories (note: even bigger plus to me is a numbered list broken down into categories):

Blogging Basics: Getting Started
Building Meaningful Content
Increasing Traffic and Retaining Readers
Linkbaiting, SEO, and Social Networks
Building a Community
Blog Monetization
Miscellaneous Blogging Advice

Help Troy Davis, Unjustly Sentenced to Death [Deadline: July 15th]
Troy Davis was sentenced to death for the murder of Police Officer Mark Allen McPhail in Georgia. The case against him consisted entirely of witness testimony which contained inconsistencies even at the time of the trial. Since then, all but two of the state’s nine non-police witnesses from the trial have recanted their testimony. Many of these witnesses have stated in sworn affidavits that they were pressured or coerced by police into testifying or signing statements against Troy Davis.

The rivers and creeks of Bristol Bay provide pristine spawning grounds for all five species of Pacific Salmon. The freshwater lakes offer abundant habitat for Rainbow Trout.
